Chris, Felix, and Rita visited the some of the best places on St Thomas – Marriott, Ritz Carlton, American Harbor, Wyndum, Mountain Top, Great House, Utter Delight Coral World, and watched the Academy Awards onboard MOANA KUEWA 2007.02.25.

ARUBA: Oranjestad, Renaissance Marina CURACAO: Spanish Water; BONAIRE: Captain Don's Habitate

Participants: Jeffrey Cheske

Chris’ youngest brother, Jeff Cheske, met MOANA KUEWA in Aruba to enjoy the tropical climate of Aruba, Caracao, and Bonaire. In Aruba, the marina laid between two Renaissance Resorts that had cacinos and pools at both locations. However, the highlight of the visit was the scuba diving Jeff & Chris did from 2008.02.08 – 2007.02.13 at Captain Don’s Habitate, Bonaire. This resort was built by a diver for divers. There were always fully charged tanks available for guest’s use anytime they chose to dive 24 hours per day seven days per week. Capt Don’s provided easy access to some of the most fabulous coral reefs and marine life in the world. Every day, Jeff & Chris participated in the maximum number of dives possible (at least two or three dives per day) with one night dive off the wall by the resort. Little did Jeff know that this trip was a “sneak preview” of things to come. One year later, Jeff became MOANA KUEWA’S 1ST Mate/Chief Engineer.

PANAMA: San Blas Island, Isla Maqui Cayos Holandes

Participants: Chuck & Lynn Evans

In the San Blas Islands, Chuck and Lynn Evans visited MOANA KUEWA. They are live aboards that have been sailing for many years. They appreciated the company and the comfort of MOANA KUEWA. It was also nice to know another couple that regularly attended the Monday-night “pot-luck” on the local island. There were a lot of interesting people that shared food and conversation. However, the most interesting fact is that the “pot-luck” is really a “trash burn.” The black smoke from the burning plastic bags definitely was a concern.

PANAMA: San Blas Island, Isla Maqui Cayos Holandes

Participants: Ray & Mary Cancel

Ray and Mary have been Chris’ friends since she was 15 years old. As a matter-of-fact, they both attended Chris’ 16th birthday party. When Chris told Ray that Mary was interested in dating him, Ray responded, ” Mary is not interested in me as a man, she is like my sister, we played together while we were in diapers, no way.” Six months later, Chris was attending their wedding. Five children latter, they are happy and thriving. After the Panama Canal crossing, Ray and Mary enjoyed the San Blas area called “the bathtub.” With its crystal clear blue water and white sand bottom, the San Blas Islands are picture postcard perfect. We met couples and families that have lived on their boats in the San Blas Islands for years. It is definitely a sedate lifestyle.
